Great location Lots of restaurants, coffee shops & cafes nearby Convenient to tram and subway

Our room (2 room with terrace)was amazing, clean, well maintained and full of character and history. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet we added for an additional charge. We would definitely stay again but not purchase the breakfast package.

We advised, on booking, that one of our party is disabled and were told there were no ground floor rooms, which was fine. It is, after all a 15th C building. However, we were astounded to find on checking in, that the door to our room was in the attic, 68 steps up on the 4th floor. This is where the bathroom was located. And then....the room itself was a further flight of steps up. This meant we had to plan each day so that we would be out all day as we could only manage all the stairs once. The beds were comfortable enough, although nothing special and there was ample hot water for showers. Beware, though, the tea and coffee sachets are not free! The staff were, with the exception of one nice lady in reception, grumpy and disinterested. The 'free' breakfast consisted of cereals, juice, coffee or tea, bread rolls, bread for toast with jam or honey, and a limited amount of cold meat and cheese slices. Everything is cleared away on the dot of 10.30am and we were scolded for trying to get a drink after that! There's a nice cafe called Kafkoff just across the way that does amazing breakfasts very reasonably, though. The location is very good being in the centre of the Old Town, two minutes walk from the square where you can catch hop on/hop off buses. Ultimately, we were disappointed with this hotel, however can't comment on what the other rooms were like.
